Move MSK from ZooKeeper to KRaft without losing consumer position.

AWS MSK KRaft migration is not an in-place upgrade. Kafka Backup Enterprise creates a journaled migration path from an existing ZooKeeper-mode source to a pre-provisioned KRaft target.

Common questions
How does the built-in trial work?

The binary includes a 14-day trial with no signup required. It enables all Enterprise features, including full MSK migration execution. Preserve trial state on durable storage for containers and scheduled Jobs.

Can I assess an MSK KRaft migration before buying?

Yes. Install the enterprise binary and run kafka-backup migrate msk-kraft plan plus precheck during the built-in 14-day evaluation. These commands are read-only and do not require a paid licence.

Is running the MSK migration included in this licence?

Yes. Paid commercial licences include migrations:msk-kraft, which enables execute, cutover, rollback, resume, status, and finalize.

What happens after I purchase?

You receive a signed license file by email within seconds. Apply it with kafka-backup license apply --file license.key. One license covers all your Kafka clusters.
